Screwed up your wind power kit? Here’s what to do
So, you bought a wind power kit and started to put it together. And then… you screwed up. Let’s take a look at the three most common mistakes people make with their wind power kits and how you can fix each one.
Mistake 1: Making a giant mess in the basement.
I can totally relate to this one! Usually, when I buy anything that needs to be put together, I take it down to the basement, my wife calling after me, “Don’t open the box until you’re ready to put it together.”
And I immediately open the box (even though I’m not ready to put it together yet), and start pulling pieces out and putting them on top of the other three projects that I’ve recently started in the basement.
So, if you haven’t made this mistake yet, do yourself a favor and avoid it! Before starting assembly on your wind power kit, clear off all your workbenches and put everything away. The wind kit is a big project, and it’s important to have a nice clear space to work on it.
Of course, if you already have made this mistake, there’s a way out. Get out the directions for the wind power kit, and piece by piece, gather up all the parts to the wind turbine and put them back in the box.
I know, it’s dreadfully boring, but it really is the quickest, easiest way to get the project back under control. And, by getting things back under control, you’ll be able to build your wind power kit much more quickly so that you’ll be ready to use it in no time.
And check back tomorrow for mistake #2 that people make with their wind power kits!
