Best books on wind power

If you’re like me, you love the internet–all that information right at your fingertips–but books are still undeniably handy. Wind power books tend to be pricey, especially if you’re comparing the price to airport paperbacks, but they’re also genuinely valuable, especially since they can teach you to cut your electricity bill in half (or more!).

Wind Energy Handbook
Of the available books, the Wind Energy Handbook stands out as one of the best. It’s 642 pages of pure information from sections on wind farming to the design of a wind turbine to an assessment of the environmental impact.

If you’re a science geek like I am, you’ll love the way this book goes in depth into topics other books only hint at. But, if you’re impatient and just want to get straight to the meat without all the backstory, you’ll want to get Earth for Energy’s Guide to Building Your Own Wind Turbine instead. Both books make a smart addition to your wind power library, it’s just a matter of how much in depth you want to go into the sciences.
